The Salary Planning table allows you to analyze and plan salary increases for up to 2,500 positions at one time.
The Salary Planning table columns are defined as follows:
•Department -- This column displays the department assigned to the specific employee. For more information about adding, showing/hiding, renaming, deleting, and sorting Departments and Sub-Departments, see Departments.
•Employee Name -- The user enters the employee's name or a unique identifier for the employee here.
•Position Title -- Select from a list of over 7,000 position titles available in the Salary Assessor. Begin typing or double-click on a cell in this column and the Search Jobs screen will appear.
•Survey Estimate -- This is the all incumbent mean, median, or a percentage of the Annual Base Salary for the selected position title (see the Salaries by Experience tab) based on user input in the Details column (see Survey Estimate Details).
•Details -- Double-click on a cell in this column to open the Survey Estimate Details window. Use this screen to customize the value displayed in the Survey Estimate column for a particular employee. See Survey Estimate Details for more information.
•Pay Grade -- This is the salary level assigned to a job through a job evaluation system. Double-click the column header to open the Edit Pay Grades window. Users may edit pay grade tables for use in the Salary Planning table.

•Present Salary -- The user inputs the present base salary for the employee in this column.

•New Salary -- This is a calculation of the employee's new salary based on values listed under Present Salary and Planned Action or Percent Increase. See Planned Action.
•Percent Increase -- This is the percent that the employee's salary will increase. It equals the Planned Action divided by the Present Salary, expressed as a percent. See Planned Action.
•Internal Title -- This is the internal title used to identify the employee's position.
•Market Index -- This is an index that is used to calculate an individual or group's market pay by dividing the employee's Present Salary by the Survey Estimate.
