Additional Salary Assessor Topics (Listed Alphabetically)

The Organization Data panel allows you to customize your analysis by job title, area, industry, organization size (revenue, assets, FYB, or # of employees), salary planning date, and/or adjustments for education, skills, certifications, and shift work, depending on the main table in use.

Note: When saving a Benchmark List or Geographic List, changes to Organization Data will not be automatically saved with the list. To save the Organization Data associated with your saved list, click Save under List Settings. To use Organization Data previously saved in association with your Benchmark List or Geographic List, click Load under List Settings.

To Personalize the Organization

Enter your organization name in the Organization Name field (optional).

To Select an Area

There are three options:

•Begin typing a search string (i.e., the name of the area you are looking for) in the Area field and click on the desired area listed

•Click the Browse button in the Area field to open the Browse Areas dialog

•Click the Averages button to Select, Edit, or Create a User-Defined Average

To Select an Industry

There are three options:

•Begin typing a search string (i.e., the name of the industry you are looking for) in the Industry field and click on the desired industry listed

•Enter a numerical code in the eSIC Code, NAICS, or usSEC field

•Click the Browse button in the Industry field to open the Industries dialog

To Change the Organization Size (Revenue)

1.Enter a value between $1,000,000 and $100,000,000,000 in the Analysis Based on Revenue field. When initially booted, the Salary Assessor loads a default specification of $100 million in revenue. Organization size for most jobs and industries is defined in terms of annual revenue. For some jobs and industries, the organization size is defined in terms of assets, fiscal year budget (FYB), or # of employees.

2.Check the box to Include in analysis of lower level jobs to factor organization size (revenue, assets, FYB, or # of employees) into the calculation of salary data for jobs measured by years of experience, if desired (not available for reports of salary by level). In Advanced Reports, this selection is available in the Revenue dialog.

Organization Size Limits

•Revenue - $1,000,000 to $100,000,000,000

•Assets - $1,000,000 to $100,000,000,000

•Fiscal Year Budget - $2,000,000 to $10,000,000,000

•# of Employees - 10 to 50,000
