The Education adjustment allows the user to modify the education level for the selected job or use the default level. Depending on the Education Type associated with the selected job, a modification to the Education level may result in no increase in compensation, an increase, or a reduction in compensation based on ERI research.
To Apply an Education Adjustment
2.In the Job Report, Benchmark List, Geographic List, OR Total Compensation, click the Adjust button in the Adjustments tab of the Survey Description OR the Adjust button below Adjustments in the Organization Data panel in Job Report, Geographic List, or Total Compensation to open the Adjustments dialog.
In the Benchmark List OR Advanced Reports, click the Adjust button for the selected job in the Adjustments column of the main table to open the Adjustments dialog.
In the Employee List (in Compensation Management), click Adjust in the Edit Employee dialog to open the Adjustments dialog.
In Survey Management, click Adjust in the Required Adjustments field of the Edit Job dialog when adding an Internal Job from Market Pricing OR Individual Job - Market Pricing to open the Adjustments dialog.
3.In the Education field, begin typing an education level in the new row to display the closest matching education level OR click the down arrow to browse the full list:
•Less than high school
•High school diploma
•Associate degree
•Bachelor's degree
•Master's degree
•Doctoral degree
4.Click on the Education Type field to view the assigned adjustment (read-only) associated with the education level for the selected job:
•No Change signals that ERI has not found a change in compensation at the given education level. These education levels are associated with a zero percent salary increase when applied to a given job.
•Premium signals that ERI has found a change in compensation at the given education level. These education levels increase compensation when applied to a given job.
•Reduction signals that ERI has found a change in compensation at the given education level. These educations levels decrease compensation when applied to a given job.
5.To display the default, click Reset to Default. This will remove any education adjustment displayed for the selected job.
6.Click the check box in the Applied column to select the education level.
7.Click OK to apply your modification and return to the main table. In the Job Report, Geographic List, OR Total Compensation, the Adjustments field in the Organization Data panel will display Applied next to Education to indicate that an education adjustment was made.

Internal jobs can be customized with Adjustments for Education, Skills, Certification, Direct Oversight, and Shift Work. Modifications to Internal Jobs can be made in My Organizations.
