To Select Organization Size Type
From the Job Report OR Advanced Reports: Select Revenue, Assets, Fiscal Year Budget, or # of Employees (depending on the industry selected) below Analysis Based on in the Organization Data panel.
Note: Only those jobs with salaries reported by organization size (Revenue, Assets, Fiscal Year Budget, or # of Employees) will display these values in the Advanced Reports table.
Note: Column 1 values in the Job Report table may represent Years of Experience, Revenue, Assets, Fiscal Year Budget, or # of Employees depending on the job, industry, and organization size type selected in Organization Data. The organization size type displayed below Analysis Based on defaults to Revenue. However, Assets or Fiscal Year Budget (FYB) can be selected depending on the industry selected, with # of Employees also available for any industry. The industry selection (e.g., eSIC code) will often affect the organization size type choices available. For example, some Finance industries, such as Depository Institutions (eSIC 6000), will be reported by Asset size, with # of Employees also available. Public Education (eSIC 9800) will be reported by Fiscal Year Budget or # or Employees, so both of these options are available in the Organization Data field when using this eSIC code.
To Customize Organization Size Values
1.From the Job Report OR Advanced Reports: Click the Revenue, Assets, Fiscal Year Budget, or # of Employees button (depending on the industry selected) above the main table. In Advanced Reports, you may also click the Adjust button below Analysis Based on in the Organization Data panel. This will open the Revenue, Change Assets, Change Fiscal Year Budget, or Change # of Employees dialog.
2.Modify the values displayed in the table OR use one of these options:
•To Add a Value: Click the Add Revenue, Add Assets, Add Fiscal Year Budget, or Add # of Employees button (depending on the industry selected) and enter a value in the new row.
•To Display the Default Values: Click the Default button.
•To Delete a Value: Select a row in the table and click the button. A minimum of one value must be displayed.
•To Delete All Values: Click the button and reenter a minimum of one new value that falls in between the range minimum and range maximum values available.
3.When accessing the Revenue dialog from Advanced Reports, select Include in Analysis of Lower Level Jobs for a single revenue level OR select Do not include in analysis of lower level jobs to deselect all rows (the default option). For Job Report, you may select Include revenue in analysis of lower level jobs under Analysis Based on Revenue in the Organization Data panel.
4.Click OK to return to the Job Report or Advanced Reports table.
Note: If you modify the organization size values displayed in the Job Report, then the customized table will be displayed for all jobs reported by size (unless the overall organization size is changed in the Organization Data panel). To display the default organization size range for a new job, you must select Default (as described in Step 2 of To Customize Organization Size Values above).

Background Information
ERI collects data with the use of two-dimension tables. For executive jobs, compensation is compared against the size of an organization (reflecting the fact that larger organizations pay their management more because of their greater responsibilities). For other jobs, rather than record five jobs for just one (such as clerk apprentice, clerk junior, clerk, clerk senior, clerk lead) as is the case with many surveys, ERI plots the requisite median experience for each of these levels and records the data as that of one job over a series of Years of Experience. In 2015, ERI added the ability to analyze compensation for non-executive jobs by a second variable, revenue, due to an increase in the volume of data collected.
