Pay Equity is a feature of Workforce Insights in Compensation Management that allows subscribers to compare compensation between two groups of a protected group, such as age range, disability, gender, national origin, race, religion, and sexual orientation.
To Analyze Pay Equity for a Protected Group
1.Navigate to the Employee List in Compensation Management.
2.Choose an Employee List.
3.Click on Workforce Insights and select Pay Equity.
4.Select a Protected Group:
•Age Range
•Disability
•Gender
•National Origin
•Race
•Religion
•Sexual Orientation
5.Select a compensation type under Differences in:
•Base Salary
•Incentive
•Total Compensation
6.Select two groups to compare under Two Group Comparison. To replace a comparison group already listed, click and select another group from the drop-down menu.
7.Select a Control Variable (a variable that is held constant or unchanged in the analysis):
•Job Title (default)
•Department
•Location
•Seniority
•Grade
•Education
•Performance
•Hire Date
8.Click Calculate.
9.Click OK to return to the Employee List.
Note: If a Control Variable is displayed in grey, then the Employee List does not have data populated for that variable. Add data to the Employee List to select that Control Variable.
