The Incentive Plan sub-tab of Rewards allows you to analyze and customize incentive targets for several measures. Users can control incentive targets based on pay grade, internal job title, employee name, or department.
To Define a Incentive Plan Manually
1.Navigate to the Rewards tab of Compensation Management.
2.Navigate to the Incentive Plan sub-tab.
3.Click Create New Incentive Plan.
4.Enter a name for this incentive plan and click OK.
5.In the Select Measures dialog, select one or more measures. Click on for definitions of measures. Click OK.
6.In the Incentive Plan table, enter percentage values in the Weight column for each measure.
7.Enter values in the Goal row for each performance level goal for each measure.
8.Enter the percentage of incentive earned in the Adjustment to Target Incentive row for each performance level goal for each measure. For example, 100% means that the employee will earn the full incentive. 50% means that the employee will earn half incentive.
To Import an Incentive Plan
1.Follow the steps 1-5 above To Define a Incentive Plan Manually.
2.Click to download and save a .CSV file template.
3.Open the .CSV file template using a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel.
4.Enter values for the Weight, Goals, and Adjustments to Target Incentive for each measure. For example, 100% means that the employee will earn the full incentive. 50% means that the employee will earn half incentive.
5.Once the list is complete, save the file in a .CSV (comma delimited) format.
6.Click .
7.Click the Browse button to select the saved file.
8.Click the Upload button to import the file.
9.In the Upload list from file dialog, the rows that have been successfully imported are displayed. If the .CSV file contains any errors, then a message will display the number of errors encountered during the import and will list the data needing review.
10.To export the results to Excel, click .
11.In the Choose Export Preferences dialog, select one of more of these options to export:
•Errors
•Warnings
•Successes
12.Click OK in the Choose Export Preferences dialog.
13.Click OK in the Upload list from file dialog.
To Add Incentive Targets Manually
1.In the Incentive Targets table, select one of four options:
•Incentive Targets by Pay Grade
•Incentive Targets by Job
•Incentive Targets by Employee
•Incentive Targets by Department
2.Click the Add button to enter a row of data in the table.
3.Define each row of data as follows:
•For Incentive Targets by Pay Grade, select a Structure and enter numerical values under Grade.
•For Incentive Targets by Job, select an Internal Job Title.
•For Incentive Targets by Employee, select an Employee Name.
•For Incentive Targets by Department, select a Department.
4.Enter the Target Incentive as a percentage of Current Base for each row. Click on for definitions of terms and instructions.
To Import Incentive Targets
1.In the Incentive Targets table, select one of four options:
•Incentive Targets by Pay Grade
•Incentive Targets by Job
•Incentive Targets by Employee
•Incentive Targets by Department
2.Click to download and save a .CSV file template.
3.Open the .CSV file template using a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel.
4.Enter a list of incentive target data. Required columns are marked with an asterisk (*).
5.Once the list is complete, save the file in a .CSV (comma delimited) format.
6.Click .
7.Click the Browse button to select the saved file.
8.Click the Upload button to import the file.
9.In the Upload list from file dialog, the rows that have been successfully imported are displayed. If the .CSV file contains any errors, then a message will display the number of errors encountered during the import and will list the data needing review.
10.To export the results to Excel, click .
11.In the Choose Export Preferences dialog, select one of more of these options to export:
•Errors
•Warnings
•Successes
12.Click OK in the Choose Export Preferences dialog.
13.Click OK in the Upload list from file dialog.
