Profile allows you to create a list of jobs by either manually adding jobs OR importing a list of jobs.
To Manually Add Jobs to a Profile
1.In Profile, click Create New Profile OR select an existing Profile.
2.Navigate to the Jobs sub-tab.
3.Click Create New List and enter a unique name for the job list.
4.Click Add Job to open the Profile Job dialog.
5.In Step 1, enter an internal job title (required) and an internal description of the job title (optional).
6.Click Generate Suggestions to create a list of suggested matching job titles in Step 2.
7.In Step 2, match your job with an ERI job title using one of these methods:
•Type a job title below ERI Job Match Search and select a title from the list.
•Click Hybrid Jobs to create, select or edit a hybrid job.
•Use the toggle to browse a list of Suggestions OR View All ERI Jobs and select a title from the list.
8.Read the ERI Job Description to see if the match fits.
9.In Step 3, customize the job by adding any of the following information: Actual Salary, Supervisor, Experience/Level, FLSA Status, and/or Adjustments (i.e., Education, Skills, Certification, Shift Work).
10.Click OK to select the matching title and return to Profile.
To Import Jobs to a Profile
To import jobs to a Profile, first create a list of job titles using a program like Microsoft Excel and save it as a .CSV (comma delimited) file. ERI provides users with a .CSV file template to simplify the upload process. If you attempt to upload another file format, then this message is displayed: "We currently only support '.csv' file format for upload." Follow the steps below to create and import a .CSV file.
To Create a .CSV File
1.In Profile, navigate to the Jobs sub-tab.
2.Click the button to download and save a .CSV file template.
3.Open the .CSV file template using a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel.
4.Fill out the template. Required columns are designated with an asterisk (*). A maximum of 500 jobs is allowed.
5.Once the table is complete, give the file a unique name (different from the template file name) and save the file in a .CSV (comma delimited) format.
6.Close the .CSV file.
To Import a .CSV File
1.In Profile, click Create New Profile OR select an existing Profile.
2.Navigate to the Jobs sub-tab.
3.Click Upload to open the Upload Jobs dialog.
4.Enter the name to be used to save this list.
5.If you are creating a new profile, select Create a new list.
6.If you are using an existing profile, select Append to currently selected list.
7.Click Browse to select a file in the .CSV format and then click Open. Then click Upload.
8.In the Upload list from file dialog, the rows that have been successfully imported are displayed. To correct a job that was not imported successfully, see To Edit an Individual Job below.
9.Click OK to return to Profile.
Note: Jobs within the same profile must be unique (i.e., multiple jobs lists within the same profile cannot contain duplicate jobs).
To Edit an Individual Job
1.Click next to the selected job title.
2.Edit the Internal Job Information, Matched ERI Job Title Information, and/or Customization.
3.Click OK to return to Profile.
To Delete an Individual Job
Click next to the selected job title.
To Rename a Job List
1.Select the saved job list.
2.Click Rename.
3.Enter a new name and click OK.
To Delete a Job List
1.Select the saved job list.
2.Click Delete.
3.Confirm the deletion by clicking OK.
Note: The only Profile that can be used in Compensation Management and Survey Management is the My Organization profile, which may contain various Areas and Jobs lists. If additional profiles are created, they may be used in the Job Report, Benchmark List, Geographic List, and Advanced Reports.
