Survey Summary Analysis

Enhanced subscriptions may include Survey Management, which can be used in conjunction with Profile and Compensation Management. Survey Management provides a tool to compare ERI Assessor Series data with data from various third-party surveys imported by the user.

Three sub-tabs are included in Survey Management:

Survey Summary Analysis

ERI Assessor Data

Manage Surveys

The Survey Summary Analysis sub-tab is used to create a list of internal job titles, which can be added manually, imported from a Profile, OR imported from a .CSV file.

The Internal Job List table provides average salary data from ERI's Assessor Series and/or all third-party surveys for the list of internal titles.  The display of data depends on whether the user matches the Internal Job Title to a Matched ERI Job Title or a third-party Survey Title (or both).  The salary ranges for individual jobs and all jobs combined are displayed graphically in the table.

The Summary Analysis table below provides individual lines of data from ERI's Assessor Series and/or each third-party survey for one internal title selected in the Internal Job List. (Note: You must click on an internal title to display the Summary Analysis table.)  Users can assign weights to ERI and third-party survey data and can view any of these Analysis Types for the combined survey data:

Mean (default)

Incumbent Weighted Average

Custom Weighted Average

Median

Users can export either a Short Report (including Summary Analysis only) OR a Full Report (including Summary Analysis and data from all third-party surveys).

Note: To display survey data in the Survey Summary Analysis sub-tab, users must first match internal job titles to ERI job titles in the ERI Assessor Data sub-tab and/or third-party survey job titles in the Manage Surveys sub-tab.

To Manually Add Internal Jobs

1.In Survey Management, navigate to the Survey Summary Analysis sub-tab.

2.Click Add Internal Job.  This creates a new blank row in the Internal Job List table.

3.To select an existing internal job title (saved in the My Organization profile), begin typing a job title in the blank row and select from the list of existing internal job titles.

4.To create a new internal job title, click Add New in the new blank row.  This opens the Add New Internal Job dialog.

5.In the Add New Internal Job dialog, enter a new internal job title AND select the associated Profile job list.

6.Click OK.

5.Once the list is complete, give the file a unique name (different from the template file name) and save the file in .CSV (comma delimited) format.

6.Close the .CSV file.

7.Click Upload from CSV to open the Upload Internal Job Titles dialog.

8.Click the Browse button to select the .CSV file to upload and click Open.

Note:  If you do not include the Matched ERI Job Title in the .CSV file, you can select matching ERI jobs in the ERI Assessor Data sub-tab.  Compensation data will not be displayed in the Internal Job List table or the Summary Analysis table until the Matched ERI Job Title is assigned OR the third-party Survey Title is assigned a Matched Internal Job Title in the Manage Surveys sub-tab.

Also Note:  If you add an Employee in the Employee List in Compensation Management with an Internal Job Title that matches an Internal Job Title in Survey Management, then the Survey Low Percentile, Survey Average, and Survey High Percentile (averaged from all surveys) from Survey Management will automatically be imported into the Employee List in Compensation Management.

1.In Survey Management, navigate to the Survey Summary Analysis sub-tab.

2.Click Import from Profile.

Also Note: The only Profile that can be used in Compensation Management and Survey Management is the My Organization profile, which may contain various Areas and Jobs lists.  If additional profiles are created, they may be used in the Job Report, Benchmark List, Geographic List, and Advanced Reports.
