Advanced Search

The Advanced Search modal is a feature of Browse Jobs that helps users easily find and export ERI job titles and job descriptions based on keywords, job hierarchy level, job family, and/or industry.

 

To Do an Advanced Search

1.In Browse Jobs, click Advanced Search to open the Advanced Search modal.

2.To search by keyword, enter one or more keywords in the Keyword Search field.

3.Customize your keyword search using - to remove any results that include the specific keyword following the - symbol. Each - symbol only references a single keyword. For example, if you enter “Inspector -treatment” into the Keyword Search field, then the results will display all ERI job titles that include the word “inspector” but exclude the word “treatment.”

4.Use the toggle to search for keywords in either the Title OR Title & Job Description.

5.To limit your search by job hierarchy level, select a level from the Job Hierarchy drop-down list.

6.To limit your search by job family, begin typing a search string (i.e., the name of the job family that you are looking for) in the Job Family field and click on the desired job family OR click Browse in the Job Family field to open the Job Family modal.

7.To limit your search by industry, begin typing a search string (i.e., the name of the industry that you are looking for) in the Industry field and click on the desired industry sector OR click Browse in the Industry field to open the Industries modal.

8.Click Search to display a list of results based on your search terms.

9.To select a single job for use in Individual Profile or Total Compensation, click on the desired job title in the search results.

10.To select multiple jobs for use in Benchmark List or Advanced Reports, use one of these two techniques:

Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while clicking a second job title to select all jobs between the first and the second selected job title.

Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while selecting a second job title to add that job only. 

11.Click OK to return to Browse Jobs where the selected job title(s) will be highlighted.

12.In Browse Jobs, click OK to select the highlighted job title(s) for use in the main table.

 

Note: Some job hierarchy levels do not apply to jobs in the Executive Compensation Assessor and may yield zero results in an Advanced Search.

1.Click the Export button.

2.Search results will be exported to an Excel spreadsheet.
