To Search for Cities in a Radius
1.From Two City Comparison or Graphs: Click the Browse button in the Base Location or Destination Location field in the Options panel to open the Browse Areas dialog.
From Comparison List - Labor or Comparison List - COL: To change the base location, click the Browse button in the Base Location field in the Options panel. To add a new comparison city in the table, click the 
or 
button to open the Browse Areas dialog. To change a comparison city already displayed in the table, click on the selected area and either begin typing the name of the area you are looking for and select the desired area listed OR click the Browse button to open the Browse Areas dialog.
From Maps: Select one of the Assessor Series databases in the Database field. Click on the Browse button below ERI Cities to open the Browse Areas dialog.
From Estimated Per Diems: To add a new comparison city in the table, click the or button to open the Browse Areas dialog. To change a comparison city already displayed in the table, click on the selected area and either begin typing the name of the area you are looking for and select the desired area listed OR click the Browse button to open the Browse Areas dialog.
2.In the Browse Areas dialog, click the Radius Search tab.
3.Begin typing the name of the city, and a list of matching areas is displayed. Continue typing until the location you want is highlighted OR scroll down the list and click on the desired city.
4.Enter a numerical value for the maximum distance from the selected city.
5.Select mi (miles) or km (kilometers).
6.All areas within the selected distance from the specified city are listed.
To Create a User-Defined Average
1.Follow steps 1-6 above in To Search for Cities in a Radius.
2.Click the Create New UDA button.
3.Enter a unique name for the new user-defined average. Click OK.
4.Select areas to add to your user-defined average using one of these techniques:
•Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while clicking a second city to select all cities between the first and the second selected cities. This allows you to select a group of areas that are contiguous (i.e. next to each other).
•Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while selecting an additional city. This allows you to select multiple areas that are anywhere on your list, not necessarily next to each other.
•Click Select All to include all areas in your list.
5.Click OK to return to the main table with the user-defined average selected. The user-defined average will be saved under the User-Defined Averages filter.
To Add Multiple Areas a Table

2.Click on a single area or select multiple areas using one of these techniques:
•Hold down the Shift key on your keyboard while clicking a second city to select all cities between the first and the second selected cities.
•Hold down the Ctrl key on your keyboard while selecting a second city to add that city only.
3.Click the OK button to enter these areas in the Comparison List - Labor or Comparison List - COL table.
Please note that distance between cities is determined using latitude and longitude and is typically a city center (post office location) to city center comparison.
