To Customize Organization Size Values
1.From the Individual Profile OR Advanced Reports: Click the Revenue, Assets, Fiscal Year Budget, or # of Employees button (depending on the industry selected) above the main table. In Advanced Reports, you may also click the Adjust button below Analysis Based on in the Organization Data panel. This will open the Change Revenue, Change Assets, Change Fiscal Year Budget, or Change # of Employees dialog.
2.Modify the values displayed in the table OR use one of these options:
•To Add a Value: Click the Add Revenue, Add Assets, Add Fiscal Year Budget, or Add # of Employees button (depending on the industry selected) and enter a value in the new row.
•To Display the Default Values: Click the Default button.
•To Delete a Value: Select a row in the table and click the 
button. A minimum of one value must be displayed.
•To Delete All Values: Click the 
button and reenter a minimum of one new value that falls in between the range minimum and range maximum values available.
3.Click OK to return to the Individual Profile or Advanced Reports table.
Note: Column 1 values in the Individual Profile table may represent Revenue, Assets, Fiscal Year Budget, or # of Employees depending on the industry selected in Organization Data. Revenue or # or Employees can be selected for any industry.
Note: If you modify the organization size values displayed in the Individual Profile, then the customized table will be displayed for all jobs reported by size (unless the overall organization size is changed in the Organization Data panel). To display the default organization size range for a new job, you must select Default (as described in Step 2 of To Customize Organization Size Values above).
Organization Size Limits
•Revenue - $1,000,000 to $100,000,000,000
•Assets - $1,000,000 to $100,000,000,000
•Fiscal Year Budget (FYB) - $2,000,000 to $10,000,000,000
•# of Employees - variable (see note below)
Note: ERI converts the organization size for Revenue, Assets, or Fiscal Year Budget (in $) to the # of Employees. Each industry type (revenue-based, asset-based, or FYB-based) has its own conversion factor. The Organization Size Limits for # of Employees varies by these industry types:
•Revenue-based industries: 34 - 312,531 employees
•Asset-based industries: 4 - 24,394 employees
•Fiscal Year Budget (FYB) industries: 10 - 50,000 employees
Background Information
ERI collects data with the use of two-dimension tables. For executive jobs, compensation is compared against the size of an organization (reflecting the fact that larger organizations pay their management more because of their greater responsibilities).
Graph Notes: Please note that customizing the table (adding, deleting or changing rows, specifically the organization size shown in the first column) will also automatically change the graph. By default the range of values on the bottom axis of the graph corresponding to organization size (revenue) is set to show $10,000,000 to $1,000,000,000, but the XA database includes organizations with revenues of $1,000,000 to $100,000,000,000.
