ERI's new Minimum Wage tool provides current minimum wage rates and scheduled updates for each of the 50 U.S. states, plus the District of Columbia, with data for major cities and counties as available.
Note: Minimum wage rates that are specific to an organization are not included
To View the State Minimum Wage Rate
Hover your cursor over a state on the map to display a pop up with the current hourly minimum wage rate for the state.
Note: The darker the color on the map, the further the minimum wage is from the federal minimum wage.
To View State Minimum Wage Details
Click on the state to display full details of the selected state's minimum wage rules (listed below the map).
To View Minimum Wage Sources
1.Click on the area to display full details of the selected area's minimum wage rules (listed in data tree below the map).
2.Click Source Link to open the source website, such as the minimum wage division of the area's government website (e.g., https://www.dol.gov/whd/minwage/america.htm)
The Last Updated date displayed above the map indicates the last day that the database was updated. ERI's minimum wage database is updated at least monthly. Please note that the database will often include wage rates and scheduled updates with effective dates that are later than the Last Updated date.
The Export Recent Changes button will export the latest updates made to the Minimum Wage database in the week prior to the current date. This is particularly useful for users that have exported the entire database previously and only want to track the changes since that export, rather than re-exporting the full database.
Note: To export minimum wages rates for a specific date (e.g., October 1, 2020), export the entire database and sort the spreadsheet by the effective date (this export option may not be available in all versions of the Geographic Assessor).
