Maps Background

ERI's new Maps tool displays detailed maps and satellite images for specific locations. Cities are displayed as colored dots on the map according to the source database: the Relocation Assessor database (red dots) OR the combined Relocation Assessor and Geographic Assessor database (blue dots).  Users can select areas from ERI's database(s) or search for any map location worldwide to quickly identify the closest matching city in ERI's database(s).  Users can also use the Maps tool to suggest new cities to add to ERI's databases.

 

To Select a Location in the Database(s)

1.Click on the location field below ERI Cities:

2.In the Select Area window, choose from one of the six available filters: All Locations, User- Defined Averages, United States, Canada, Europe, or Other Locations.

3.Begin typing a Search String (i.e., the name of the area you are looking for) OR scroll through the area list and click on the desired area.

4.Click the OK button.

 

To Find the Closest Matching City in the Database(s)

1.Type a location in the search field below Locate City:

2.Click Search

3.Once the map is displayed for the selected location, click the Zoom Out button until a red or blue dot indicates a matching or nearby location in the database.

 

To Select the Map Type

Select Map (default) OR Satellite

 

To Suggest a City to Add to ERI's Database

1.Type a location in the search field below Locate City:

2.Click the Search button.

3.Verify that the map displays the selected location.

4.Click the Suggest City button.

5.A message displaying "Thank you for your suggestion" confirms your submission.
