The Job Family modal is part of the Advanced Search feature in Browse Jobs that helps users easily find and export ERI job titles and job descriptions based on a job family search.  Users may browse or search job families by SOC Name or SOC Code.

 

To Select a Job Family

1.In Browse Jobs, click Advanced Search to open the Advanced Search modal.

2.To limit your search by job family, click Browse in the Job Family field to open the Job Family modal.

3.You may browse OR search job families by SOC Name or SOC Code:

•To browse job families, click on a job family folder name in the Browse Job Families field to see sub-listings.  

•To search by SOC Name, enter a search string of at least 2 characters in the Search Job Families field, select SOC Name in the Search By field, and click the Search button.  All job families containing the characters entered in the search field are displayed, along with the corresponding SOC code.

•To search by SOC Code, enter a search string of at least 2 characters in the Search Job Families field, select SOC Code in the Search By field, and click the Search button.  All job families containing the characters entered in the search field are displayed, along with the corresponding SOC code.

4.Click on a job family to select it from the search results list.

5.View the job family description displayed for the selected job family. The job family description displayed can be highlighted and copied by the user.

6.Click OK to return to the Advanced Search modal.  The selected job family will be listed in the Advanced Search modal.
