Import Hybrid Position

The Hybrid Positions feature allows the user to upload a list of hybrid positions.

To import hybrid positions, first save your list.  Create a list of hybrid positions using a program like Microsoft Excel and save it as a .CSV (comma delimited) file.

If you attempt to upload another file format, then this message is displayed: "We currently only support '.csv' file format for upload."

To Create a .CSV File

1.Create a list of hybrid positions using a spreadsheet program like Microsoft Excel.

2.A header row is required to identify each column. Any of the following column headers are acceptable (the program is not case-sensitive):

Column 1: Hybrid, Hybrid Name

Column 2: Job, Job Title, Title, ERI Title, Position, Position Title

Column 3: Weight, Weighting

The following example is in the correct format:

Any data that is not formatted correctly in the .CSV file will not be uploaded to the Salary Assessor.

3.Once the table is complete, give the file a unique name and save the file in a .CSV (comma delimited) format.

4.Close the .CSV file.

Note:  The weight must be expressed as a whole number (rather than a decimal) or as a percentage.  For example, both 90 and 90% are acceptable, but 0.9 is not.

To Import a .CSV File

1.From the Search Jobs dialog in the cloud-based Salary Assessor, select Hybrid Jobs.

2.The Edit Hybrid Positions dialog will open.  Select New.

3.Check the box next to Upload a list of hybrid jobs and click OK.

4.In the File Upload dialog, select the .CSV file to upload by clicking the Browse button and Open. Then click OK.

5.A message will display the number of rows that you have successfully imported.  If the .CSV file contains any errors, then a message will display the number of errors encountered during the import and will list the data needing review. See note below.

6.Click OK to return to the Edit Hybrid Positions screen.

Note:  There are five types of errors that may occur when a user attempts to upload hybrids in a .CSV file:

"Error - Incorrect Upload File Headers" – If the headers for the upload file are not correct or are missing, then none of the hybrid jobs will be created.

"Error - Job Title Not Found" – If any of the hybrids include a job that could not be matched in the Assessor database, then the hybrid will not be created.

"Error - Cannot Mix Experience and Revenue Jobs" – If any of the hybrids include a combination of some experience and some revenue jobs, then the hybrid will not be created.

"Error - Hybrid Name Already Exists" – If any of the hybrids have the same name as an existing hybrid for this user, then the hybrid will not be created.

"Error - Hybrid missing weights" – If any weights are missing for any position in a hybrid (i.e., no weight for a given row or no weight column at all), then the hybrid will not be created.
