Postal Code Search

To Search by Postal Code

1.From any of the main tables:  In Organization Data, click the Browse button in the Area field to open the Browse Areas dialog.

From the Geographic List: To add a new area, click the button to open the Browse Areas dialog. To change an area already displayed in the table, click on the selected area and either begin typing the name of the area you are looking for and select the desired area listed OR click the Browse button to open the Browse Areas dialog.

2.In the Browse Areas dialog, select the ERI Areas tab.

3.Use the toggle to select Postal Code search.

4.Enter the postal code in the text box (US, Canada, or UK only).

5.Click the Search button.

6.View the areas listed under ERI Closest Matching Area and Post Office City Name.

7.To select this area, click OK.

 

"ERI Closest Matching Area" is the city name as it is listed in ERI's database.

"Post Office City Name" is the name used by the Postal Service for that Postal Code.

 

ERI Economic Research Institute is a licensed user of postal code and latitude and longitude data from the United States Postal Service (USPS).  Canadian Postal Codes are based on crowdsourced data licensed from Geocoder.ca.  Contains data adapted from Statistics Canada, 2021 Census Program.
