Filters

The Salary Assessor includes both area filters and job filters.

 

To Filter Areas

1.From any of the main tables:  In Organization Data, click the Browse button in the Area field to open the Browse Areas dialog.

From the Geographic List: To add a new area, click the button to open the Browse Areas dialog. To change an area already displayed in the table, click on the selected area and either begin typing the name of the area you are looking for and select the desired area listed OR click the Browse button to open the Browse Areas dialog.

2.In the Browse Areas dialog, select one of these available filters:

All Areas (default)

User-Defined Averages

United States

Canada

Europe

3.For enhanced editions, select one of these available filters:

DEFAULT

All Areas (default)

User-Defined Averages

PRIMARY GEOGRAPHC DATABASE

All Primary Geographic Database Areas

United States

Canada

Europe

EXTENDED GEOGRAPHC DATABASE

All Extended Geographic Database Areas

Africa

Asia

Europe

North America

Oceania

South America

4.When you use an area filter, the areas listed in the Browse Areas dialog are limited to only those found in the selected region, making it easier for you to browse the areas you want to see.  

5.Continue to select your desired area.

 

Note: Enhanced editions will include a Data Availability column in the Browse Areas dialog (in either the ERI Areas or Internal Areas tab) displaying the area as either a Primary Geographic Database or Extended Geographic Database location.  There may be limited details available for locations in the Extended Geographic Database; more details may be available for locations in the Primary Geographic Database. For more information about the jobs and areas available in your subscription level, please contact ERI.

 

To Filter Jobs

1.From the Job Report or Geographic List or Total Compensation, begin typing a search string (i.e., the name of the job you are looking for) in the Job Title field and click on the desired job listed OR click the Browse button in the Job Title field to open the Browse Jobs dialog.  

From the Benchmark List table, click the button to open the Browse Jobs dialog.   To change a job already displayed in the table, click the selected job and either begin typing the name of the job you are looking for and select the desired job listed OR click the Browse button to open the Browse Jobs dialog. See Survey Description for more information.

From the Advanced Reports tab, click the button OR double-click on a cell in the Title column of the Jobs table to open the Browse Jobs dialog.

From the Employee List in Compensation Management, click the button OR click Edit in the table and then click the Browse button in the Job Title field to open the Browse Jobs dialog.  

2.Click the drop-down Filters menu to select how jobs will be displayed in the dialog:

All Jobs (default)

ERI Jobs -- displays all ERI jobs available in the user's subscription level

Hybrid Jobs -- displays only hybrid jobs

Jobs by Industry -- displays only those jobs related to the user's currently selected industry

Internal Jobs -- displays only those jobs in the selected job list saved in My Organizations  (See note below)

3.When you use a job filter, the jobs listed in the Browse Jobs dialog are limited to ERI Jobs, Hybrid Jobs, Jobs by Industry, or Internal Jobs, making it easier for you to browse the jobs you want to see.  

4.Continue to select your desired job.

 

Note: Enhanced subscriptions that include My Organizations allow users to match their internal job titles to ERI job titles in saved internal job lists.
