Wage and Salary Maximum Limits

The Geographic Assessor has a maximum US annual salary level limit of US$999,999.

Please Note: It is a popular conception that geographic differentials disappear at the executive level because executive recruitment is frequently conducted at the national level.  Our research indicates that these geographic differentials continue up into the executive ranks (see Assessor Series FAQ #27 for references).  The Geographic Assessor reports these differentials up to the salary level limit.  However, it is true that executive recruitment is most often conducted across broad geographic areas. This simply means that the geographic differentials that exist between cities can be less relevant to composing executive pay packages, depending on the specific characteristics of the analysis being conducted.  The Geographic Assessor area pay differentials are predictions created from regression lines drawn through real data.  The Geographic Assessor area differentials reported for pay comparisons above $108,000 are statistically valid in so far as they illustrate the trend of area differentials between the two cities specified.
